University Interscholastic League (Tex.)

Roy Bedichek (1878-1959) was a naturalist, educator, writer, and director of the University (of Texas) Interscholastic League from 1914-1948. The Roy Bedichek Papers, 1897-1959, 2003, document his studies of ornithology, botany, wildlife, and conservation, history and philosophy and include literary productions, correspondence, and business records.

Myrtis Brooks graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a BFA degree in drama. The papers contain a typescript of the play Cinderella, a revised, musical adaptation written by Brooks in 1962.

The Nelson Gray Patrick papers are comprised of material concerning the activities of the UT professor of music Nelson Gray Patrick.

The UT Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center Records, circa 1960-2012, contain the administrative records of the Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center at the University of Texas at Austin.

The University Interscholastic League was created by the University of Texas at Austin to provide numerous education and extracurricular services to both high school students and teachers throughout the state of Texas. The UT University Interscholastic League Records, 1913-, consist of printed materials, photographic materials, and films.

The Jesse J. Villarreal papers, 1941-1988, consist of manuscript notes, departmental records, memoranda, correspondence, printed matter, reports, and sound cassettes related to Villarreal’s work with the University of Texas Department of Speech Communication and College of Communication; the University of Texas Interscholastic League; and the Texas Speech and Hearing Clinic.
