Edward Clark papers
The Edward Clark Papers, 1842-1910, 1946, contain a typescript of Clark’s diary (1842-1843) as well as photostats of letters and other documents relating to his political career. The photostatic letters and documents concern Clark’s activities as an attorney, legislator, and governor of Texas. The diary describes his social life and illnesses as a young widower near Marshall.

George Bernard Erath (1813-1891), surveyor, solider, and legislator, was born and educated in Vienna, Austria. The George Bernard Erath Family Papers include correspondence, legal papers, land grants, account books, newspaper clippings, photographs, military orders, notes, financial records, and literary productions pertaining to the careers of Erath and his daughter Lucy A. Erath (1857-1948).

Fanthorp Inn records
Henry Fanthorp built the Fanthorp Inn in 1834 near the intersection of stage roads from Houston to Springfield and Nacogdoches to San Felipe de Austin in what is now Anderson in Grimes County, Texas. The records consist of Henry Fanthorp's twenty-seven ledgers, dating from 1832-1888, which document the operation of the Fanthorp Inn and an associated mercantile business.
