Scope and Contents
Photos largely document social events at Forbes Air Force base near Topeka, Kansas, circa 1954. Included are musicians, wrestling matches, and beauty competitions, as well as some images of military equipment and aerial reconnaissance photos. Also included are three sepia images taken in Alaska in 1958.

Biographical/Historical Note
Jack Boyle was born in Clinton, Iowa in 1914. He served in the U.S. Air Force, including World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Boyle died in 2000 and is buried at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
