Scope and Contents

The Brad Bergmann photographs document several events and subjects in both California and Texas, including the largest anti-war protest gathering in the history of San Francisco held on April 24, 1971; a protest at the Long Beach Naval weapons depot; protest-related campus scenes; the Norman Brock bookstore in San Antonio; Douglas MacArthur High School in San Antonio; Judge Susan Reed; and San Antonio chef Sonny Cochran. Also included are the prospectus for a book, Anti-Vietnam War materials including leaflets and writings, and a photocopied newspaper front page containing articles about the April 24, 1971 demonstration.
