Photostats of family correspondence include William B. Aldridge's discussion of the Texas Revolution and his impressions of cultural affairs, government, military affairs, politics and social affairs in Texas. Letters related to Marion (East Columbia), Texas, and were writtten to William's brother Alexander Aldridge of Stony Creek, Virginia, and his sister Anne Jackson of Petersburg, Virginia.
