Scope and Contents

The Neal Rosenau Papers (1978-1987) consist of Betamax and U-matic videocassettes of news segments and specials covering several major news stories of the 1970s and 1980s, including the eruption of Mt. St. Helens and housing shortages in New York City. The collection also includes news scripts from WCBS New York dating from 1986 to 1987.

Biographical Note

Neal Rosenau grew up in La Porte, Indiana, and began working as a reporter during college in Rockford, Illinois. He has worked as a news writer, correspondent and producer for local television stations in Chicago (WBBM), Portland, OR (KGW) and New York City (WCBS and WNBC). He was also a regular contributor to NBC News Overnight.
