Biographical Note

Young Perry Alsbury was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, in 1814 and came with his parents to Texas in 1823. Mr. Alsbury served in the war between the United States and Mexico and was wounded in the battle of Palo Alto. Mr. Alsbury was married to Mary Rodriguez. Mr. Alsbury died at his home on Salado Creek near San Antonio, November 17, 1877.
